Bilateral, Regional and International Cooperation During the period of its action plan, NCCPIM succeeded in achieving its targeted goals in this domain as follow:
i)Establishing regular contact with some Foreign embassies based in Cairo, as well as international organizations dealing with Illegal Migration namely IOM, UNODC, UNICEF.
ii)Interacting with NCCPIM counterparts in the region with a view to transfer its model to other countries. In this regard, The Committee has worked very closely with the Cairo Center for Conflict Resolution and Peacekeeping in Africa (CCCPA) and the Egyptian Agency for Development to organize training programs for African officers on best practices in combating illegal migration.
iii)Participating in the different regional meetings Egypt hosted in the context of Khartoum Process, as well as the senior official meeting held in preparation of the Valetta Summit. NCCPIM played a significant role in coordinating among all the national entities to present projects to the said meetings aiming at combating illegal migration on the national and regional level.
iv)Signing of a MOU between the National Coordinating Committee on Preventing and Combating Illegal Migration and the National Council for Human Rights
A MOU was signed on 02/10/2015 between The National Coordinating Committee on Preventing and Combating Illegal Migration and the National Council for Human Rights.The two parties agreed on the following areas of cooperation:
1.)The launching of a field study on illegal migration among Egyptian youth. The study will be carried out by the National Center on Social and Criminological Studies in eight governorates: Dakahlia, El Behira, Kafr El Sheikh, Alexandria, Fayoum, Assiut and Menya.
2.)The exchange of studies and researches related to illegal migration.
3.)The organization of joint seminars and workshops in this field.
